I found this tour recommendation on an online blog and I am so happy I decided to sign up. Sebastian is very knowledgeable on Medellin history and the specifics on the tour around transportation and city planning were very interesting! As a solo traveler it was perfect to visit Downtown and Comuna 13 with a group to experience it and feel safe at the same time. Highly recommend!

Just go on this tour! It’s well worth it. Sebastian went above and beyond getting us to this tour. We had to postpone our original date due to one of my children falling ill. You start in downtown Medellin, then take the metro to the gondolas. He presented the tour with explanations of each stop. He made sure to keep us all engaged, including my three kids. The street food was amazing and of course Comuna 13 was unbelievable.

We just finished the BEST city tour with Sebastian! We highly recommend it to anyone coming to Medellin. It’s a MUST DO!! We suggest that you do the tour early in your visit and you will experience the city completely differently, as this tour changes you in a very positive way. Sebastian provides a local’s perspective on the challenges, tremendous improvements, and opportunities ahead for this beautiful city. He opens your eyes to the painful history of Medellin and to the remarkable transformation the city is going through as they focus on improving access to resources for the poor and enhancing infrastructure like green energy and public transportation. There is no other tour like this! Don’t pass it up!

Sebastian is knowledgeable and was a great host. Put up with my friends asking a lot of dumb questions, lol. Felt safe the whole time, gave us advice about local prices for gifts, knew a ton about the city and the places we visited. Highly recommend this tour!

We absolutely loved this experience with Julian! He took us on a comprehensive tour of downtown Medellin (including Plaza Botero), the cable cars and of course Communa13. He was extremely knowledgable, super friendly and a great storyteller too. Highly recommend this tour for all first time visitors to Medellin!

I reviewed all the tours too, but stop looking, this is the one. You travel the city and makes even a novice feel comfortable with public transit. Great guides, great information, highly, highly recommended. Easily one of our trip highlights.

Wonderful morning spent exploring downtown and communa 13, including safe and swift public transportation to get a really good sense of daily life in Medellin. Julian was very passionate and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed his company and the experience. Would 100% recommend!

It was an educational experience that didn’t feel “touristy”. We were given insight into the social, economic and cultural history of Medellin and how that has shaped the lives of it’s residents. I’d highly recommend this tour.

So much history will be covered in this tour but it’s not done in a overwhelming way. This was the perfect tour to discover the culture and beauty of Medellin outside of the touristic parts like El Poblado.
5
This is definitely worth it and the best way to see a lot of Medellin that would otherwise be unnavigable as a gringo. Sebastian is a great host and speaks very good English. Do this tour if you want the full experience of Medellin.
5
