Overview
Join our Guatape tour, we will pick you up in one of our comfortable SUV vehicles to start a 2 hours trip approximately. Get ready to immerse in the beauty of Colombian countryside.
Peñon de Guatape (The Rock)
First on our itinerary is the awe-inspiring monolith known as Peñon de Guatape. Rising majestically from the earth, this granite behemoth stands as a testament to the geological forces that have shaped the landscape. Ascend the 740 steps spiraling around its base to reach the summit, where a breathtaking panorama awaits. From this lofty vantage point, soak in sweeping views of rolling hills, meandering rivers, and the patchwork of islands adorning the lake below.
Lake Guatape
Finally, surrender to the tranquility of Lake Guatape, a serene oasis nestled amidst verdant hills and rolling landscapes. Board a traditional boat and glide across the azure waters. Marvel at the rugged coastline, punctuated by hidden coves, verdant islets, and secluded beaches, offering a perfect retreat for relaxation and reflection.
Guatape
Immerse yourself in the charming town of Guatape, a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors and colonial architecture. Stroll through it’s cobblestone streets adorned with intricately painted zocalos, depicting the stories and heritage of its proud inhabitants. Explore the local markets brimming with artisanal crafts, indulge in authentic Colombian cuisine at quaint cafes.
Lunch (included)
We will taste a typical lunch of the Colombian cuisine with one of the best views.
Finally, we will take our way back to Medellin to leave you back in your place.

Sebastian was fenomenal, I grew up in Colombia but left years ago, coming back to my country and found young people like Sebastian, being so passionate about changing the Colombian perspective to the world, it is amazing, he is a true ambassador, my friends and I loved the trip to Guatape, he was very friendly and very accommodating to our suggestions. Thank you Sebastian!

Let me just say, we had a wonderful and great day with Sebastian and the tour was entertaining, educational, and fun. My group and I learn a lot about the culture and enjoyed the places we went to. This would be a tour to book if you want good company and leaving with a sense of friendship.

Sebastian was an amazing guide! Very thoughtful, kind and excited about his job. He speaks very good English and told us all kinds of interesting stories about the places we drove through on the way to Guatape. We stopped at amazing restaurants and had awesome food, drinks and coffee. I highly recommend this experience… they have done THOUSANDS of them and it shows! We had the BEST time!

This was a full day tour where we got to see the beautiful town of Guatape and climb the rock in El Penol. Sebastian has such a wealth of knowledge about Colombia, the history, the architecture, the people. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to learn a lot about this beautiful country.

Sebastian was amazing! I wish we could have booked more tours with him, but our time in Medellin was too short! It was a long car ride to and from Guatapé, but having Sebastian as our guide made the ride seem very quick because he was so fun and interesting to talk to! And the time spent at La Piedra and Guatapé was absolutely incredible. Our favorite day in Colombia!

Sebastian was a great guide, excellent host and amazing ambassador of his country. He provided prompt pickup from our hotel and was an excellent safe driver. He is an architect and planner by trade and with that specialized knowledge and education, good command of English, gave us an amazing tour! Throughout the ride to Guatape, he was insightful and full of local knowledge. It was amazing to learn from a local so driven and motivated to succeed. We stopped for included refreshments along the way and enjoyed learning the history, architecture and life in Medellin. We enjoyed a lunch of delicious Colombian food after our long climb up La Piedra. It was challenging but with a lot of rest stops and water, we made it to the top and it was an incredible view! We then strolled the vibrant Guatape and enjoyed the included coffee and drinks. It was a fantastic experience and we would highly recommend Sebastian’s unforgettable tour to anyone visiting!

Such a great tour! Sebastian was so knowledgeable, funny and considerate. He was really informative not just about Guatape and the Piedra del Peñol, but the entire country and history of the area. He adapted really easily when there was an unexpected road closure, we stopped for a quick snack and then were on the way again 🙂 the places themself were breathtaking, the transportation was super comfortable and the conversation was enjoyable! I would definitely recommend!

Sebastian provides a great experience, he is very knowledegable; not only of Colombia, but many other things. If you are looking for a warm welcoming guide who knows his stuff look no further. Sebastian provides all and knows all (or close to it). We had a great time.

Sebastian was the best host ever! Made me fall in love with Colombia. You can tell he loves what he does. Super knowledgeable about the history, learned so much! Would definitely book again in the future.
